hey the cake ball one makes no sense now... is that because of the whole Spanish ordeal?

??? I don't know what you are talking about. I checked both links and they are both working. The first link goes to the cake ball thread and the second link goes to the cake ball google document, both of which are written in English. I'm not sure what the Spanish ordeal is you refer to.

oh! A little while ago, someone translated it into spanish and saved it that way. And I guess when someone tried to translate it back it wasn't in proper english

Like this

"Caramel Apple - caramel apple pie and ice cream, dipped in milk chocolate and peanuts
S'more - chocolate cake, marshmallow cream into the cookie crumbs wound"

Sorry I thought you knew it happened, my bad!

Oh, I see. Well no, I wasn't aware of that and I don't think it got reflected in any of the google docs listed (at least not that I'm aware of.) Thanks for letting me know! icon_biggrin.gif

It was great of you to put forth the effort on these lists. It is so unfortunate that they are all mumble jumbled now. I just printed them today and they make no sense. I'll bet it was the translations. To bad

If y'all go to the original threads where these lists originated, they usually say who put them up to begin with. Those are the people to talk to about jumbled lists.

I'm not sure if you're trying to translate them from English to another language or what, but when I click on the links they are fine. What do you mean mumble jumbled? I am the author of three of those links, so if they are messed up I will happily fix them, just let me know. They all appear fine when I click on them. thumbs_up.gif

Did you try the cake truffle link? http://docs.google.com/Doc?docid=0AWyT_ZcILkBTZGRkNHF6cjNfNWduNzY5YmNm&hl=en
It's messed up for me, too.

I don't know where you are seeing that -- I just read the entire doc and I don't see anything even close to that.

That's crazy! I wonder why we're seeing different things. It seems Bob and I are seeing the correct stuff. Weird.

Well my suggestion is to go ahead and contact the author of that particular google doc. She stated who she was somewhere in the cakeball thread and I remember she said something about not locking it so anyone could edit it. You need to talk to her. Good luck!

It gets larger if you click it.

Oh I see it now. I thought that was just a bad translation. Again, that has nothing to do with my list of recipe links. You need to find the gal who originated that list and ask her why she didn't lock the google doc to begin with so this wouldn't happen. I believe she's mentioned around page 24 or something like that in the cake ball thread. Good luck! icon_biggrin.gif

Okay I found it. Her screen name is FullHouse and it was listed on page 22 of the cake ball thread -- she's the one who set up that particular google doc. Here's what she said in that thread:

http://docs.google.com/Doc?doc.....YmNm&hl=en

I've set it that anyone can edit, so feel free to update, just make a notation on the bottom (i.e. Last update 11/20/09 by Fullhouse) so we don't duplicate each others efforts.

Since she's the one who set it up and did it so anyone can edit, you need to contact her to get the google doc issue straightened out. Hope that helps! icon_biggrin.gif

icon_redface.gif Hahahaha, yah me too! That's what I'm seeing, but just thought it was a situation where the creator of the doc wasn't so 'great' with English. Sorry to anyone that thought I was seeing something they weren't!! icon_redface.gif
