I'm always looking for new website, books and other sources of inspiration (and browse the galleries here constantly.)

Who is your favorite cake decorator? Famous, semi-famous, or under appreciated! It was because of CC that I found Pink Cake Box, and love her website!

Anyway, I thought it would be fun to share your fav decorator, or some of your fav sites! I did a search to see if there was a thread that discusses this already, and couldn't find one, so if there is one, then feel free to link it so I can read through it icon_smile.gif

My absolute favorite is Bronwen Webber. I would love to have an internship under her - her cakes are amazing!

I know her cakes aren't the caliber of Bronwen Webber, but I love Cakery's cakes here on CC. Every one of them just seems to scream FUN!

It's a tie...Bronwen and Mike McCarey. But I'm also starting to really like Jason and Josh, both of whom have been on some Food Network challenges over the past year.

My favorite is Sharon Zambito of Sharon's Sugarshack. Her cakes always look flawless - something I strive towards with my cakes, but never seem to accomplish. Although, watching her DVD's gives me hope!

I love April Reed's elegant simplicity and her take on shape and proportion. I also like Erica O'Brien and her use of structured, graphic design. They are definitely my two faves right now.

Chef Cynthia Peithman isn't "food network" famous, but she is very well known, and well-respected in the high-end pastry field. She is in New York, and she was my primary instructor for the first half of my studies at the French Culinary Institute. She is an AMAZING chef, and a wonderful person. Her cakes are breathtaking and she has inspired me in so many ways. I feel lucky to have learned from her and if I am ever 1/10 the chef that she is, I will count myself lucky.

My other favorite is also someone you probably have never heard of (YET): Cathy Olate. She is Anne Heap's second in command at Pink Cake Box and she blows me away. I learned so much from her during my internship. You will get to see her assist Anne during her next food network challenge (airing in May), but rest assured, she will be famous in her own right someday, because she's AWESOME!

Many of mine have been named already so I didn't have to think too hard on this. There is so much wonderful talent right here on cc. I spend more time looking at the cake talent than anything else on the net. So many varied talents out there that I admire. Too many to name. But I'll be checking out the names mentioned thus far that I don't know yet. Thanks for this thread!
