What kind of recipe do you use to make ices cookies...is it just a reg sugar cookie? Do you make the royal icing and pipe it on and then fill in? Ive never done it and I want to give it a try...

Hi Shellycakes,
There are some great cookie recipes on this site to choose from...many people like the NFSC ( No Fail Sugar Cookie...in the recipes section).

My best advice: at the top of the page there is a tab that says 'articles'..click on that and go down to the 'how to' section. There is a great article by Antonia74 ...I think it is called" How to bake and decorate cookies". It is very informative and gives all kinds of wonderful tips.
Good luck and happy decorating !
