In everyone's opinion what seems to be the up and coming trends in cake decorating? I want to stay with the curve or ahead and would like to know.

I dont' believe in "trends". Trends are whatever the wedding industry is pushing at the moment. The bridal magz publish an article that volcano cakes with a monkey butt topper is "in" and suddenly everyone proclaims it a trend.

One decorator told me square cakes were out and I should remove all of my square cakes from my website. Hmmm..... 74% of my brides order square cakes.

I hear square cakes are "coming back". Huh. You mean they were "out"?

I find it "coincidental" that cupcake wedding cakes came "in" about the time that Wilton came out with a bunch of cupcake tools. Hmmmmm.

I'm with debi, I don't do trends just whatever a bride wants. Just not stairs and fountains!! LOL
