I hope someone out there can help me! I have a co-worker who has a icing recipe that is out of this world! Problem is, she aint sharing. Her father in-law owned a bakery for years and it is his family secrete. She was given the recipe when she married.

She made me a batch and I thought I would give you the hints I have and see what you guys think!

It is not very sweet, doesn't crust, doesn't have to be refridgerated, doesn't have egg whites, has a slight salty taste, and is very creamy.

Now I have my hunches-

It kinda reminds me of the filling I put into my Suzy Q cake where you take flour and milk and make a paste and add it to crisco and sugar.

Any thoughts? I love a challenge and would love to figure it out! icon_lol.gif

Maybe it's IMBC made with egg white powder instead of egg whites, made with salted butter?

I have no idea. good luck

Sounds like Whimisical Bakehouse House recipe to me.It is what I use all the time!!

- not sweet
- doesn't crust
- doesn't have to be refridgerated
- no eggs
-can use salt if you want but I don't!

tastes just like the whipped bakery icings inside of twinkies, ding dongs etc.
