I am just so excited. I just made my husbands birthday cake and delivered it to his work. I don't do this professionally at all, but would like to. His co-workers loved it. Everything on it was homemade. Well, except for the topper (it was a bendy guy). I kept getting comments that I should do this for a business. I would love to if I could convince my husband. He was being such a jerk about me making this cake (he thought it was for my class), but I'm glad I could surprise him. Do you all get this excited about making cakes? Maybe its just because I am getting out of my comfort zone.
Oh yea. welcome to what will at least become an addiction, at worst and obsession I have a son who is a skater, since he was 7, and wherever we go, I can see him looking out the window and I can see it in his eyes, oh, there's a good gap, look at that handrail or stair set. And it's all he talked about for a long time ( he is 17 now) I would just laugh. But now I know how he feels. I seem to relate everything to cake now. I go to work and I'm planning cakes in my head. An occasion is coming up, I get to make cake. My kids don't want to hear about anymore cakes. My oldest says I'm cake obsessed ( and it's his fault, I started to make his wedding cake) My husband comes in and yells," are you on that cake site again!" Welcome to CC, I'm sure if you're like the rest of us, we'll be seeing a lot of you.
LOL Usually when he comes home I quickly click off the screen. I feel like I am on a dirty web site. I just have so many addictions with hobbies, I think he is hoping this will blow over.
My hubby calls it cake porn and one of my (male) co-workers called me a cake fanatic today!
