Someone started a cake-related thread like this a while ago, and I really enjoyed seeing everyone's favorite pictures from the galleries. (I love combing through the photos on here, but let's be honest ... I rarely have the time to do it as much as I'd like.) I saw a lot of cakes I may not have come across otherwise ...
So I thought it would be neat to start a cookie-related thread like that one.

I think all the work here on CC is fabulous, from the very, very newbie, who's trying their heart out, to cookie pros like GeminiRJ, who has taken 3-D to the next level (first one who came to mind).

I agree, anything by Fairytale is amazing!! I've been working with the fondant cookies (dresses and garden themes) lately and I hope to get some done soon to upload the pix. I recently took a class on dimensional painting which is similar to the work Fairytale does -- that looks gorgeous on a cookie!! 
Another one who does amazing work with cookies is the CC member Kraach. She brings gingerbread to a whole new level!! And her detail work is unsurpassed!!
Kraach is the other one I was trying to think of. Her work reminds me of Ukrainian Pysanky, which I occasionally still make at this time of year.

I agree that so much work on here, from newbies up to pros, is amazing. There are just some designs that, from sheer beauty to pure quirkiness, really catch my eye.

I tried doing a member search for the few names I haven't heard of since I joined and it just takes me to the very beginning, with the user names that have numbers in them. Could someone post a link of a picture of these memebers so I can get into their other pictures? TIA!

When you click on "Member list" it will open the search page. Type in the name you wish to search for. That person's name will come up, and if you click on it, their profile page will pop up. In the lower right corner will be a thumbnail of their latest photo. Click on the "view more photos" and it should open their album. I hope I made some sense!
As for my favorite cookies...I'm a computer idiot and can't seem to attach the photos of the ones I've saved into my favorites. When I first started looking at cookies on CC, the two decorators I wanted to emulate most were kneadacookie and yankeegal. They really opened my eyes as to what you could do with a cookie. Lately, there have been so many talented cookie artists who have joined....it's almost impossible to pick a favorite!
I just saw this thread. I am so honored to be mentioned and am delighted you like my work. I broke my right hand on Easter and am now sporting an obnoxious purple cast. Had to reschedule a cookie decorating class I was supose to teach (frown). No cookies for me until the end of may (another big frown). Thank you for really making my day.

JenWhitlock...she is one of the first people I reached out to for help when I started making cookies, and is the nicest lady ever! She also does beautiful cakes, but this series of cookies is wonderful. It is her "Year of Trees" fair cookies...and yes, she won 1st place!

Thanks pebbles, n yes i have fun looking at other people cookie photos on here some are just so amazing. Havn't had a chance to do a cake in awhile so started doing some cookies in the mean time, i want to start exploring more with fondant and royal icing on them and doing really intricate details. Thanks for the inspiration everyone

I use scrapbook paper for most of my backgrounds and place a piece of non-glare clear acetate (the same stuff used to make cookie templates) on top of the paper so the cookie doesn't stain it. TracyLH taught me this
