Hi all,
I have a customer who wants a cake made for her best friend, and all she told me was that it should feed 12 people and be in the colors white, purple, and emerald green. She also said to maybe add a friendship quote. Any ideas??? I'm stumped. I thought I knew what I was going to do until I started getting ready to make the cake, but now I'm not so sure. Would a heart shaped cake be good for a best friend or is that too much of a romantic type thing? Also, what kind of design could I do that is quick and easy in those colors other than roses? Any help on this would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Oh, she also wants dragonflies on it too.

with dragon flies, i think of lily pads, or reeds. so maybe something like that, green plants, purple dragon flies, white fondant/ bc base. and that would work fine on a round, or heart.
no idea about quotes, but i imagine a search on google would bring some up

She might love the heart shaped idea, but might not. Could you ask her? A square shape might be fun in the quest for something different? The square idea might fit nicely with the reeds, lilly pad, dragonfly scene.

I have been looking all over for a cake on here that someone did. It's white with black dragonflies brush embroidered (i think)... it's beautiful, but i can't find it. Maybe another CCer knows what I am talking about and will post a link.

I would be very wary of putting a bible quote, or any quote with God in it, on a customer's cake, unless they ask for it specifically! While it, and all the other quotes given, is beautiful, not everybody is Christian, or even religious for that matter!

Wow, thank you guys so much for all the help. The quotes are all so beautiful, and now that's makes my job a little harder, having to decide which one to use is going to be hard. Thanks for the ideas too. You guys are awesome!!!
