Hi, does anyone have a sugar syrup reipe for syrup to brush on cake layers before filling ?

Simple syrup:
Heat equal amounts water and sugar by weight (a pint of water weighs 1 pound) to boiling. Stir gently to make sure all the sugar is dissolved. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Store in fridge indefinitely.
