I have to make a BD cake for a guy's 40th.. They want 2 tier. Top tier has to be carrot cake with cc frosting(blaahhhhhyuk).. The bottom tier to be choc/mud .. This cake is becoming my demon.. I am at a wall and cannot seem to climb over.. What can I do to combine the two.. my creative mind has melted into a puddle and is dripping out of my eyes....booohooo ..wipe ...wipe..anyone have any suggestions....

What's the problem. Black (ok brown) and white, perfect for a guy. do fondant balls that are choc & white fondant alternating colors around the borders to match. Make a number 40 out of 1/2 brown 1/2 white fondant.. you could even through in some burgandy like from your card cake, which was very nice btw. maybe do a brown and a white dogwood flowers on top. flowers are ok, just keep the colors masculine. if he's not the flower type, do geometrical shapes, leaves or strips. what's he into? guys don't care, they just want cake!
