Does anyone know if you could use the black edible pearls on white buttercream in an outdoor wedding at the end of May? The cake wil be in the shade, but the weather may be hot and/or humid.

Will the color on the pearl run if it gets hot?

I was going to use black buttercream dots, but thought it might not be too smart, then I thought of black fondant, and now I am considering the pearls.

Anyone,

Any info greatly appreciated.

Vicki

i think if you make them ahead out of black fondant so they really have time to dry out that would be your best bet to prevent bleeding.

I personally would do the fondant pearl mold in black fondant. Tonedna does a youtube video

you could then dust them with some shimmer or luster dust to make pearlized if you wanted.
