Am I missing something here? I use Satin Ice fondant, when I try to color it w/ wilton gels it changes the texture to the point it is gooey and limp. I need bold colors by the way so it takes a lot of gel. How do you get fondant to have deep bold colors and not loose its "fondantness"???

If you add a lot of liquid, then it most definitely will change the texture. You can change it back by adding in more powdered sugar (or doing it as you go). Also fondant can get overworked and may need to rest several hours or overnight. Satin Ice also sells about 7 very vibrant pre-mixed colors icon_smile.gif
