My son and two other family members are buying their first home. My sister and I are throwing a house warming party for all three, and I need to bring the cake. The problem is I can't think of anything. I want something special, but I am drawing a blank. Can anyone help me? I truely appreciate any suggestions you my have. Thanks to all.

I just finished making a buffet table cake. Maybe you can do an 8 inch round and some foods to simulate their first dinner in their homes. ...or a house with a sold sign in front of it.

How about a welcome mat. Or a to-do list (pay mortgage, fix sink, enjoy my new yard).

In an older Wilton yrbk there was a sq cake w/a lattice walkway(?) and lots of flowers......it makes a great house warming idea.
OR draw an outline of the houses?
OR just a welcome mat in front of a door?
A mailbox and for sale/sold sign
I have done these but don't have pix to show icon_sad.gif
