Hopefully I can explain myself.

I'm making a cake, just one tier, for my grandparents 60th anniversary. It is really for pictures and for the ceremonial cake cutting.
I'd like to use a lot of royal icing flowers, but am worried that it could make
the cake difficult to cut. Am I imaging a problem?

I just sort of wiggle the blade and ooch any flowers to the side a little.
