Are you just writing on the cake or trying to paint a design or pic? I write on fondant with buttercream or royal icing from a piping bag. I have never painted on fondant but I have heard that food coloring with vodka works well. The vodka evaporates out leaving the dried color. I have never tried this technique but I am SURE someone on here is more knowledgeable than me icon_smile.gif

I love Wilton Food Writer and I HATE Betty Crocker Easy Writer. Wilton's is a nice point and BC's is a flexible tip that I feel I have no control over. But that's how I feel about writing with them ... as in "words".
