Hi all

The rave reviews about all of Sugarshack's DVD's really wants me to buy them. But I do not have a Kitchenaid mixer or any other large mixer. I use a normal hand mixer. Do you think I will still be able to follow her recipes and techniques especially for smooth buttercream?

Thank you
Sulia

Hello Sulia,
When I first started making her icing recipe, a hand held mixer was all I had. I didn't have any trouble making the icing, I just made sure my icing was over my beater and I think I had to mix it a little longer. Also due to not having a 5qt. bowl, I would make a 1/2 batch of her recipe at a time. Guess I should say I have made a 1/2 batch with the hand held.

That was 3 years ago, I do have a stand mixer now. I couldn't afford a KA, so I got the Cooks mixer from JCPenney, and so far it has held up very good...and handles the mixing of the icing great. I do have to say, I like my standmixer better then standing and having to hold my hand held icon_biggrin.gif

Her dvd's are great and Sharon does a wonderful job in them.
God Bless,
Sharon
