i use the wilton recipe but am not thrilled with the crisco. I also have summer weddings coming up and need something that will withstand humidity as well as be consistent. suggestions on a brand?

I use the store brand which seems to hold up just fine.

lots of times.. i use the wilton recipe with the crisco and real butter. i use whipping cream instead of milk or water.. this puts the fats back in the buttercream icing.. this recipe is on the wilton site.. like i said , i use whipping cream instead of water or milk.. there are lots of recipes on this site... similiar... i have used buttercream dream recipe on this site and added the dream whip to it.. it is delicious.. i just like some taste of butter to american buttercream.. some people only use italian meringue or swiss meringue.. i love them both.. but some clients don,t .. so , i guess , we need to try all kinds . so we can be ready for the client wants and needs.. hth
