This may be a silly question, but I've had no luck.

How do I make a golf ball out of gumpaste or fondant that stays round?? Or any sized ball, really. You can't really sit them on a table to dry, since then it would get flat on one side, I tried putting it on a stick, but it was too heavy and drooped a bit. I ended up putting it in a cup flower former, but it still wont be a perfect sphere....
Luckily I'll have grass around the golf ball, so in this case no one will notice, but what if in the future I want a sphere??

Any tips would be great!

i got some of the egg shell foam.. like for mattress pads.. twin size.. cut them up in squares or whatever.. make your ball of whatever size.. lay them in the egg shell cups.. done this for years.. it could be just the smooth foam. maybe 1 1/2 "- 2" thick.. hth
