I am trying to make a Topsy-Turvy cake and I wanted to get a strong chocolate mud cake recipe. Here is a tutorial I found using one and it looks like it would hold up better.

Its a very dense cake and austalians use it a lot. There are different flavours of mud cake, such as, white choc, milk choc, and caramel and many more. They are great for carving too!

I read somewhere a while ago that they *folded* due to *issues* between management and forum members - icon_confused.gificon_surprised.gif
BUT apparently there is a Cakes and More Blog - being run by the Moderator from there (Nicole)- sorry i don't have the site address but i am sure if you Google it will show up .
Last time i saw her - she was still active on the Australian Forum for Taste - Hope that helps you in your search.
She used to be very active over there - if you join that forum just place a thread putting out a call to her - someone will let her know.

Hmmmm, actually, she is a member on here - i have seen the occassional post.
Gawd - now i can't think of her forum title... icon_redface.gif
It is something like NVandanhout - - don't quote me - but again, something like that - (must be her surname)

CHOCOCLATE MUD CAKE - its like a very Moist Dense Sponge Cake.....light on the pallet
Keeps fresh for 6 - 7 days - freezers extremely well - and can be carved to any shape.
Very popular over here.
