I am trying to make a Topsy-Turvy cake and I wanted to get a strong chocolate mud cake recipe. Here is a tutorial I found using one and it looks like it would hold up better.

is the recipe for the cake on there...i skimmed & didn't see it ...i would like to try the mudcake posted here in the recipe section but it's not in US measurments and then someone posted a while back that the degrees is wrong
I couldn't find a recipe on there either! I was hoping someone on here would have a recipe! Here's keeping my fingers crossed!
what is mud cake? i hear about it alot, but have no clue what it is.
Its a very dense cake and austalians use it a lot. There are different flavours of mud cake, such as, white choc, milk choc, and caramel and many more. They are great for carving too!
HTH.
Here is a recipe from Cakes & More blog,
http://www.cakesandmore.org/blog/2008/09/chocolate-mud-cake-with-ferrero-rocher-filling/
And here is a milk chocolate mud cake recipe,
http://www.cakesandmore.org/blog/2008/02/kellis-milk-chocolate-mud-cake/
Its in Australian measurements though.

Anybody know what has happened to Cakes and More site. When I clicked onto the link it is so large and all over the place. Does anyone else get this problem. Thanks

I read somewhere a while ago that they *folded* due to *issues* between management and forum members -
BUT apparently there is a Cakes and More Blog - being run by the Moderator from there (Nicole)- sorry i don't have the site address but i am sure if you Google it will show up .
Last time i saw her - she was still active on the Australian Forum for Taste - Hope that helps you in your search.
She used to be very active over there - if you join that forum just place a thread putting out a call to her - someone will let her know.
Hmmmm, actually, she is a member on here - i have seen the occassional post.
Gawd - now i can't think of her forum title...
It is something like NVandanhout - - don't quote me - but again, something like that - (must be her surname)
CHOCOCLATE MUD CAKE - its like a very Moist Dense Sponge Cake.....light on the pallet
Keeps fresh for 6 - 7 days - freezers extremely well - and can be carved to any shape.
Very popular over here.
