I have an order for a fondant covered birthday cake that was supposed to be picked up tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon. It's fondant covered and has a perishable filling. I know that I can refrigerate a fondant covered cake, but now I am wondering how long it can be in the fridge.

The client called a little while ago and said that the party has been moved to Sunday, so now I will have a fully decorated fondant cake in the fridge for 24 hours longer than I originally planned.

So will my cake die? Any suggestions?

Thanks!

It should be ok. Just remind customer because of the delay they will not have as long to keep leftovers unless they fz them.
