I'm trying to make sure that I make enough mmf and can't find anywhere how much cake one batch of mmf will make. I just need to cover a 10" round cake with 2 layers, so about 4" high with a little bit left for decorations. Will one batch be enough, or should I do one and a half? thanks for your help.

6-inch cake needs about 1 pound 2 ounces
8-inch needs about 1 pound 8 ounces
10 inch needs about 2 pounds.

Simply add the weight of sugar and MM in your recipe (all the other are insignificant). You get approx. how much fondant you get from your recipe.

Err on the careful side - you often end with giving less sugar than written in the recipe.
