Hey Everyone:

We're having a ladies social at church and will have a dinner and do a service project of tying quilts. I'm thinking of making a quilt cake. I'm planning on stacking it, round or square doesn't matter. I've looked (briefly) through the gallery and am seeing lots of buttercream square cakes. I'm not a buttercream girl and prefer fondant. Please (if you can think of one) post links to your most favorite or the coolest quilt theme cakes you've seen. Thanks in advance!

Being a quilter, quilt-themed cakes always catch my eye. Of course, now I can't find the ones I had in mind!!! Here are 3 great cakes, though, hope it helps!

P.S. -- I was really glad to see that "Forth" is your last name. I always thought that you were someone's fourth wife!!!

Love the quilt cakes!

If you see a buttercream one you like you could convert it to fondant.

Wow, you guys are awesome! Thanks for the relpies! I kinda figured no one was going to post anything at first.
Yeah, I know my username is a bit tricky, I get a good laugh about it. People always figure I chose that name because my husband has either been married 4 times or is a polygamist (HAHA!). Again, thanks for the links!

The one that dandelion56602 is my favorite so far. The cake will be feeding 70ish people, so size wise it fits the bill (and my style). I'll have to tweak it because I'm still too new to copy anything exactly (gotta be able to cover your misstakes!). Thanks again everyone, also keep posting I have several weeks to plan!!

This first one isn't exactly a quilt, but close enough and it's probably the funniest cake I've ever seen! icon_lol.gif http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=82521

The second one is very pretty and very well done too: http://cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1322164

Haha, the feet under the quilt is funny...but probably not terribly appropriate for a church social icon_wink.gif Thanks for all the posts, keep them coming!
