Are the Swiss Dots piped or are they made with fondant using a bead maker mold. Any advice on adding Swiss Dots to a cake would be appreciated.

They are piped. I think you can buy a template, if you're worried about them being evenly spaced and in a straight line (I know I would need some help with that).

You could do the template in your computer or even use some graph paper, a lot cheaper and you can adjust the spaces according to the size of your cakes.
