I have been asked to make a cake for my local Chamber of Commerce. They want it to show my talents, as this will be for a luncheon they are holding in honor of my joining them. It's sort of my "coming out" party for the community. I really want to show off and I am good at pretty much all decorating techniques. What idea's can you suggest with a Chamber of Commerce theme? icon_cool.gif

I wouldn't do a Chamber of Commerce theme, I would do a cake which showcases most, if not all, the decorating skills you can provide to them as potential customers.

I agree with playingwitsugar. Do something over the top that really showcases everything you can do. Even if there won't be that many people, you could make part of it styro so you're not wasting cake and use that portion for display in your shop or shows

Find something special you have really been want to make and go for it. Show-y, beautiful, over the top. The other posters are right on.
