I am getting ready to bake my first wedding cake and want to add ribbon to the bottom of each of the 3 tiers. How do I put each end of the ribbon together?

Thanks!

I have read elsewhere that you could use a bit of icing. My instructor recommended however when I asked the same question that I create a "ribbon" using BC or fondant so everything on the cake is edible. I ended up going that route so they wouldn't have to worry about unwinding a ribbon in the middle of cutting.

id go for a dot of royal icing. you can use a pin, just make sure it gets removed (it should since they will be removing the ribbon, but you never know!)

Thanks for the tips. I think I am going to use a pin since I will be the one cutting the cake as well. I plan to post the pic when i'm done. I'm so excited to see the finished product.
