I am not really interested in going to local meetings but would like to join for the newsletter. Maytbe could travel to the San Diego convention. Does the newsletter have more than just fondant? I like buttercream more. Just wonder if that is the main focus of the articles?

You might be better off subscribing to Mailbox News, then. I see a lot more BC cakes in there, then in the other magazines.

I don't find that the ICES newsletter has much in it, other than stuff about getting ready for the convention, minutes from the convention, articles about hotels at the convention, signup for the mid-year convention, etc. I don't see much buttercream in it, either.

I was a member of ICES for a year and thought the newletter was a waste of paper. LIke costumeczar said... the newletter was all about the convention.... hardly any room for anything else. Almost no pics at all.
