Do the ads that drop down drive anyone else insane or is it just me? I want to look at the pics and read the threads and every freakin 10 seconds an ad drops!!!!

I don't read them, don't look at them, they don't work. Make them stop!!! icon_mad.gif

Are they just here to make me crazy??? It's working!! icon_cry.gif

I'm with you! I hate those d@mn ads! Every single page I click on I get a drop down. I was looking through the gallery the other day and I just had to stop because it was p1ssing me off.

Thank you cocorum!! It's good to know I am not the only one who yells at the screen and leaves the site b/c of these things!

Joenshan, I believe my pop up blocker is on--however I am very computer stupid, so I may not be understanding it right.

I've never had any dropdown ads. The only thing horrid on my computer is the Vista OS.

I am having this problem too. Jackie had a post the other day saying that if you are getting pop-up ads that your computer is infected with Spyware or a virus. She said that they do not have any pop-ups on this site. I got DH to look at mine and try to get the ads off, but we have been unsuccessful so far.

I've never had this happen either. I agree with the earlier post, check your pop-up blocker.

I have pop up blocker and very strict antivirus and spyware checkers, and I still get those expanding ads here occasionally. I just assumed it was one of the ways they were funding the site. All the ads that are floating in the margins of the page are the same thing, they just aren't 'expanding' ads.

I have my pop-up blocker on, but that bar at the top lets me know that one is being blocked or trying to get access, can't remember. Here is that post that Jackie made. http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-1224-spyware.html

Interesting. No floating, drop down or popups here either. just the margin ads.

The margin ads are what I meant... I guess when I said floating, I meant changing because they are constantly changing! Hehehe. I don't mean they're flying around the page! Hahaha! icon_lol.gif

Download Spybot and Adaware....both free. Here is a Resource page I have on my website. Scroll down and there are links to free utilities.

I also only use Firefox, and you can download plugins that block ads and flash.
