Has anyone made the baby bear cake from the Wilton 2005 yearbook (animal crackers pan)? They tell you to make a baby bonnet using the pattern book and then put the quilting pattern on it. I understand that. You also need to make a fondant bow and pacifier--fine. But then it says to let the fondant pieces dry on a surface dusted with cornstarch. Do you think they mean the bonnet too?? In the picture, the cake sits on top of the bonnet, and I would guess that it's about 12-14 inches. Can I let something that large dry and be able to pick it up without cracking later? Or should I try to attach it to a cake board while it's still soft and be done with it? For those of you with the yearbook, the cake is on page 81.

I'd appreciate any advice that you can give me. I'm pretty "fondant challenged."
