I want to use pretzel rods to make palm trees for my son's birthday cake and I've seen the palms done many different ways. What's the easiest?

I used a mixture of fondant and gumpaste and cut the leaves, then dried them over a slightly flatten paper towel tube. Then I attached them with melted chocolate. I think I have pics in my gallery.

Karen's right! That's the easiest. You could use royal icing, too, but chocolate sets faster.

I take the pretzel rod and puch a gum drop on the end of it. I cut slits into the gum drop and layer the leaves as talked about. I like green chocolate
