Hi! I am a newbie with a question:

For my daughter's first birthday, I am making a ROUND 2-tiered cake, but I have fallen in love with a gorgeous white SQUARE cake stand at TJ Maxx. Do you think that would look okay? I would love your opinions.

Thanks a bunch!

i think it will look cute. as long as there's enough space on all sides of the circle cake

I made a round cake for my daughter's birthday and put it on a square cake board and I think it looked great! Everyone was impressed with it. It's in my photos if you want to get a visual. HTH!

Thanks for all your imput, guys! I did end up getting the square cake stand and I think it turned out pretty nice. I got lots of compliments on both the cake and the stand. You can see it in my photos if you would like to see it!

Thanks again! icon_biggrin.gif

I'm late into this discussion, but I do round cakes on square stands frequently. (I started to say "all the time" but 74% of my weddings are square cakes icon_rolleyes.gif ).
