Hi

I am new to this wonderful site and wondered if you could help me please. I am just starting out with making cupcakes and would like to make some for my craft group on Saturday.

1. Which is the best star nozel to use for the swirly buttercream icing?

2. Would I be ok to bake and decorate the cupcakes today, they will be eaten on Saturday.

Thank you

I use wilton tip 190. I personally would bake and decorate the cupcakes on Friday.

As you see there is a difference of opinion as to which is best. Each of the 3 tips mentioned will give you a slightly different, but similar look.

Baking cupcakes has been a problem for me.....whenever I baked ahead the paper liner separated from the cupcakes icon_sad.gif Especially when I froze them.
If you can keep them covered so they don't dry out but not have the papers come loose then go ahead and make them today.
