I am doing two layer shower cake...brides colors are black arttendant dresses with fuschia bows and lime green color as well. How can I incorporate that into a two layer cake...I was thinking white cake, black ribbon at base of two tiers...can you suggest something elegant....I am a beginner.

You say '2 layer' do you mean 2 tiered?
A layer of cake is usually 1 1/2 to 2" deep.
A tier is usually two 2" layers put together w/filling between them.

Making fondant dress bows isn't all that hard. Why not make one fuchsia and one lime green. With the black it will be very striking and elegant.
