I just have a couple of quick question about cake contests, as I'm getting ready to attend my first one!

1. Do you bring your own tablecloth? (It seems like you do on the televised cake contests...but I don't know if that's how it's done at a non
Food Network cake contest).

2. The rules say that you can only use edible things (except for the pillars of course). So can I use dragees? I know some people eat them... some don't.

Just wanted your opinion!
Thanks for your help!

I attended one at the javits center in NYC back in November. They were very specific about the table set up and it was outlined in the rules. I would check with the people running the show.
I don't know about dragees, could you make small fondant pearls to use in place of them?
