I have used the SPS before and LOVE it!!! But I have always used it with stacking the tiers directly on each other. This time, I need to have each tier on pillars that are showing. I have the 9 inch pillars (the ones with the little pieces so that I can change the height without cutting), and was wondering if I have to do all the stacking at the reception, or if I only leave about 2" pillars if I could stack at home and travel with it. THe tiers are 6,8,10 and I need to drive about 30 minutes with it. (fortunately I live in a very flat area, so no hills, but definately some turns).

I would be nervous about traveling with it assembled. If you can, just do it at the site
