Hi everyone,

I am somewhat of a beginner, and am supposed to do a cake tomorrow for a birthday party this weekend. I purchased a choco-pan last June and never used it. Its still wrapped in the tub.

I just took it out and it says 6 months. I have had it in my cupboard this whole time, not in the fridge or freezer. I also saw something on their site about preservatives keeping it OK for a year.

Should I not take a chance? There is nowhere to buy fondant around where I live, other than Wilton and I don't like that taste.

Thank you in advance and happy decorating!
Valerie

I don't mean to jump in on your post, but I was just wondering the same thing about Wilton fondant. I ordered Satin Ice, but needed a little more to make shoes and gloves for figures I am making. I have a 5 lb. box in my cabinet, never opened, that's been there for quite a while, but nobody's going to eat the figures. I can't find an expiration date on the box. Does anybody know if it's ok to use?
