I have this bright idea to make a fancy nancy cake. I would like to make her face and head out of a wig head. Now the problem I want a hat on her. Like a sun hat that sticks out on the sides. How would I go about this? I would kind of like it to be hard enough that I can remove it durning transport. I'm not even sure if this is possible? I hope you all can understand what I am even going for? Thanks for the help!

If I'm thinking about what you're thinking about, lol, I would suggest making the hat in two pieces.. Like mould some gumpaste on a small bowl or something to make the main bit, then make the brim out of gumpaste and maybe put some paper towel folded up under a few points so that it isn't completely flat....Then attach the two pieces when dry with some royal icing and cover the join with a ribbon or some flowers? just thinking out loud... lol.... good luck!!
