My cousin has requested a knex ferris wheel cake for his Birthday on sunday. And I'm drawing a blank not sure how to go about doing this one. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

That is a tough one. Some ideas are:

1) a colorful cake with an actual knex ferris wheel on top (though you probably want the whole cake to be edible)

2)using candy or edibles on the cake to reconstuct it (mike&ikes, rainbow twizzlers, etc.)

3) molding all the knex peices out of fondant or chocolate ** so time consuming!!

4) painting or piping on the cake the multi-colored wheel (& logo?). It wouldn't be 3D, but it would be sooo much easier and wouldn't risk it falling over if transporting it.

I hope this helps! Good luck!!

I just saw that cake here yesterday. It had the ferris wheel on the top of a sheetcake. Let me try to find the post...
