My mother-in-law is having a party with this theme and ordered cookies. So far I have come up with a piggy face (kind of a cartoony one with a circle and two ears sticking out of the top of its head) a simple music note maybe large and small, a mug of beer with foamy white frosting on top (any ideas on how to do that??) and maybe a grill. I have seen a Weber grill cookie cutter somewhere online.

I also have my margarita glass cutter and I thought lime wedges for a tiny cookie to mix in with the other ones, even though that isn't really in the theme they're all drinkers and I think they would like the decorated marg glass. Plus these are all people who have ordered from me or probably will order in the future so I want to do a really nice job.

TIA!! Heidi.

A grill would be good, TracyLH has an amazing one in her photos. All the drinks are perfect. Maybe can handcut some BBQ tools, or 'draw' them onto a square cookie. I have some in mypics that I had to draw from a stencil onto round or square cookies. Maybe do a pyramid of coal brickets. I've seen a steak cake, a steak cookie would be cute, and a drumstick. Can't wait to see your finished pics!!

A mug of beer would be simple to cut out if you can't find a cookie cutter, and sunglasses (ala Blues Brothers).

I buy mine from http://www.foosecookiecutters.com/store/ icon_wink.gif

You could do a grill (looking down) with a round cutter. Ice in black, add white lines for the grill part, even add a steak or some hot dogs with red icing.
Found a couple of posters!

Oh, those are GREAT ideas! Thank you so much!

As for posting pictures, I have no idea how to. I only have just started taking pictures of my finished cookies and have maybe six photos. Is there any forum that tells you how to add pictures?

7yyrd: macsmom: Great ideas! I'm coming to you next time I need an idea! In fact, I've got an unusual one coming up, I'll pick y'all's brains!
Also, did you think of guitar or saxophone for blues?

Country blues would be a guitar, blues as in jazz would be a sax.

I totally missed the "Blues" part of your theme! Love the dark glasses and saxophone ideas. Since "blues" got their name from using the blue notes you have to make notes.

dxerelb-I'm a newbie too!! Just got here last week and WOW! Love the idea of the moonshine jug. Like those brown and black ones, I think the brand is "Mississippi Mud" or something like that. Great ideas!
