Probably a stupid question....but are Sesame Street characters copyrighted like Disney?

I've been asked to do one, but I won't jeopardize my business with it!

The answer is yes, they are copywrited.

Thanks. That's what I thought but I was at work and couldn't take time to research....I'll tell the client they can purchase a character and add to the cake and see if they still want it.
