All,

I'm planning an Alice in Wonderland cake. It will be fondant covered with fondant and/or chocolate accents.

My question is, when I make the section that I want to be the garden, can I make grass with buttercream (using a grass piping tip) and will it stick to the fondant base of the cake?

You all are wonderful and I have learned so much since discovering this site, I'm so addicted! I'm here several times per day... do I have a problem??? heh

I would think you'd be fine. Of course, if you do run into trouble, you could try very very lightly dampening the fondant just where you want the buttercream to stick. Not a puddle....but a light brushing. I doubt it would be necessary, though.
