Want to make hubby a boston creme pie cake (would also like to make some long johns with this as the center) but the only thing I can find for Bavarian creme on the net is a prepackage tube of it. Anyone have a recipe for it?

This same recipe is on CC also. I used it to fill "coconut custard pie" cupcakes I made recently. The Bavarian cream is delicious.
By the way Metabea...have you made Boston Cream Pie with Bavarian cream before? I always use pastry cream when I make BCP. It sounds yummy with Bavarian cream though!
