We have three throwdowns going. The first two are the Throwdown Smackdown's for the 2008 Winners and Losers. All the winner's (those that could participate) in 2008 are competing against each other in one Smackdown and all the Losers in 2008 are competing against each other in the other Smackdown. The winner of the WINNER's and the winner of the LOSER's will compete against each other next month for the 2008 Throwdown Championship Title. Please head over and Vote.

The third throwdown is the first TD of 2009. These two ladies worked hard on their cakes and I know they would love for you to see their work and vote...even comment on their cakes if you like.

Is it really necessary to SPAM the entire forum (every category) with this same announcement?

Not everyone goes into all the categories. I know I only go into one or two of them regularly. Sorry you feel that it was SPAM. These ladies worked really hard and everyone should see them. Before these contests even started, I never went into General Forums and pretty much stayed in the HOW TO and CAKE DECORATING forums. So I never got to vote and missed out on a lot of amazing cakes! I wish someone would have posted these type messages when these TD's first started.

Throwdowns don't get their own little pretty banner at the top of the page for everyone logging in to see, so a lot of people don't even know we hold these contests. I'm not selling anything, not asking for money or promoting a business. Just trying to show some support to fellow caker's who enjoy decorating. And to bring a little positive to these boards since there seems to be some DRAMA going on here, yet again!

See this post in one category, scroll past it in another....takes but a millisecond.

I second that! You did a great job pulling this all together and I agree, we have a ton of views on our posts but hardly any votes. I even tried to promote the contests on that ridiculously long thread going on over the weekend.

I wish we could somehow get a link on the main page or something...
