I was wondering how do you obtain the cranberry red coloring or apple red coloring... using wilton reds? I know they have different hues...

my delimma is that I have to match the RI piping to the bow and ribboin that will be cascasding down the cake

any suggestions, advice??

I've gotten away with steering my brides away from red... but now its catching up with me icon_smile.gif

Any help is appreciated icon_smile.gif

According to my Americolor chart you get Cranberry when you mix Maroon with Super Red.

They recommend you start with Maroon (base) icing and add Super Red colored icing (complimentary color.)

I found this chart online (it's a little fuzzy):

If you don't have maroon, you can get the color by adding a touch of green to red icing.

And Honeydukes never fails to amaze me with her ability to post links to all things decorating...and then some! Definitely a wonderful resource here on CC!
