I know there has been a bit of talk about the cakes in Mailbox news not being so hot at times. But, my cake is in there this month (it's the third time I've had one in there) and each time it is very exciting. It's a kick to see your cake picture somewhere else besides your own blog or Facebook. lol!

I think that's the beauty of MBN... you don't have to be Bronwyn or Nick to get a cake in there! They show lots of really nice cakes, but they have a few that are really more about trying to do your best than trying to be the best there is. I salute you!!

My favorite is the last one in the fifth row, "practice stenciling" with the tiny pink roses, it is just perfect.

Your cake is beautiful, and it looks very clean and professional. I had it marked as a favorite even before I read your post.

I hate to ask a stupid question, but what is Mailbox News? I want some. I feel left out.

Hahahaha! It's a cake magazine made by the same people as American Cake Decorating Magazine. But instead of being all fancy decorators, it's full of 'you and me' types who do this for fun, or for business, but who are not celebrities. It's really cool!

Thanks Melvira! Looks like something else that I "need", and hey - I noticed they were offering a discount on something - so that makes it a must! My husband just doesn't know how I've accumulated so much stuff in such a short time. LOL

Now you need to submit an article to MBN on how you made such a fantastic cake! They're always looking for something new and pretty. You don't get paid anything, but there's a big thrill in seeing your work in print. Congratulations!

You all are so sweet! you'll never know how much your kind words mean to me. I told my DH about all of them and he was really touched. It's so nice that we can lift each other up in our enjoyment of baking and decorating. Thanks again!

Amen sister! I love knowing there is a place where I can come and discuss this stuff and not feel like everyone in the room is staring at me like I'm an idiot. You know sometimes in the 'real' world people think you're nuts if you start into some cake or cookie related diatribe! And I also like that we can sit here and be impressed by you and not be snarky and thinking... "I'm better than HER!" KWIM??? Sometimes people really DON'T want to see you succeed and that hurts! But we're able to share your success with a happy heart!

Hahahaha!! Leave it to me to use one of those words that 'normal' people don't usually. I am a writer, so truly enjoy language... I'm glad I could bring you a small bit of glee!
