This is the first time ever I make a cake with fondant. I'd like to know which is the best recipe to use. I plan on making a simple vanilla cake with pink colored fondant icing, and green + purple fondant stars. (My daugther is a Hannah Montana fan). Any help is greatly appreciated! icon_confused.gif

I don't know if this is the best recipe but it had worked for me no fail! It is simple to make and tastes great! I make it in my Kitchen Aid though as opposed to the counter method. I also use 1 tbsp of butter extract. Good luck I hope you find the one that is right for you! Here is the link....it is a recipe and tutorial! oh, and I also add the color gel when the marshmallows are melted...before I add powdered sugar.....WAY easier.

I don't make fondant. I use the Satin Ice brand. It is very yummy and great to work with.
