I need a good chocolate and vanilla filling for in between the cakes. I have an order for saturday and I need a chocolate filling for a 10in cake that will be marble, and covered in fondant....and also an 8in that will be marble with a vanilla filling. Does anyone have those recipes? Also I have a question, should i cover the out sides of the cakes with the filling too? since the cakes will be covered with fondant, or should i put the filling in and then just put a small layer of buttercream around the edges?

Also does anyone have a great buttercream recipe because mine was way too liquefied, and it didn't hold color very well either....anyone? Please help im lousing it!!!!

Everything you ever wanted to know about baking and decorating a tiered/stacked/layer cake:

The above thread has cake, frosting and fondant recipes as well as baking and decorating help links.
Also has info on using the sleeved pastry fillings.

Ganache (either chocolate or white chocolate) makes a great filling especially when whipped.
