I recently got laid off from my job, and I am making cakes to help with some income. I just don't know what to charge. Most of my cakes are for birthdays and showers. What should I charge for 8 inch, 9 inch, and sheet cakes? I don't have any pics, but most of the people I bake for want basic buttercream, borders, flowers or streamers. My customers do not like fondant or gum paste. They want flavor, not looks. But what to charge. PLEASE HELP!

First, check this thread to see if selling from home is legal where you live.

You could go and price cakes at local shops and then price yourself accordingly. Good luck!!
