I am doing gumpaste circus roses for an April wedding. I am wondering what the best way would be to color them since they have two distinct colors. I have thought about coloring my gumpaste yellow and just dusting or painting the red/orange on the tips. I love the sheen I get from steaming my dusted flowers and I don't think the yellow would shine since there wouldn't be any petal dust on it.

Any advice? Thanks!

I'd use yellow gumpaste and dust the edges pink.

i have steamed things without powder, and they still ot a shine. but you could always dust in yellow, steam, then dut in pink. that might ive your yellow a better colour too.
