i am new to this how do i charge for my cakes

There are many, many threads on this site about charging for cakes. Most of us come up with a 'per serving' charge.....usually starting around $3.
Use the Wilton chart to figure the # of servings. It says an 8x4" round cake serves 32; selling price for such a cake would be 32x3=$96.
Some use a 'per mix' figure: each 10"x2" round cake takes the batter of one cake mix so the selling price would be $30. For that 1st mentioned 8x4 it would be $45 (1 & 1/2 mixes makes two 2" layers =s one 8x4 round cake).
