I would like to make a black spiderman bust cake. Unfortunately I do not have an airbursh and I really do not want to make that much black icing!! Do you think the Wilton spray colors will work?? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

TIA

We've used spray colors at my work, and i think that they get the job done pretty well. You have to be careful to spray pretty evenly and to watch it for any dripping if the frosting is a bit runny, but it's a good idea to spare all that frosting. Good luck!

Black Buttercream is actually easy to make if you start with a chocolate buttercream. I created a Coach purse cake and it was all black except the stitching. Look into my photos and you can see. Besides, if you atart with chocolate, it doesn't require much black gel that way, and it is not bitter either.

That's a great idea. Black tastes horrible.
